Well, the Doctor thinks it's stress which probably explains my complete lack of enthusiasm for anything at the moment. Currently trying to remove the largest sources of stress from my life at the moment so looking for a new job as that's by far the biggest.

Went out for the weekend with my camera just trying to take my mind off things. So here's some pictures of street art in Milton Keynes (Saturday) and the Red Kites of Princes Risborough (Sunday).

Oh yeah, and one picture of my brother's dog, Wally :)

Oh Canada!

This friday, I'm off to Canada for two weeks with the main purpose being to chaffeur my parents around and to be best man at my brother's wedding. Should be fun :)

'I'm Not Dead!'

...Although with my current lack of activity, it may seem like it sometimes.

At the moment, I can fully sympathise with whoever drew this,

Truth in Graffiti by Bogbrush

as I quite frequently come home in the evening drained of any enthusiasm to do anything. Hopefully the situation will get better soon - I'm in discussions with my boss and if that doesn't work, I'll be looking for new employment.

So please excuse the lack of any comments and responses recently and I apologise in advance for my future slackness until I get my job fixed!

Accident 1 by Bogbrush

So after all the drama of being involved in an accident, the pain of sorting out all the insurance, visiting the local police station with insurance and car roadworthiness documents and trying to sort out a replacement vehicle while my car is off the road, my little Toyota is taken away on the back of a lorry for repair.

Now normally, the insurance company give you a car to use that is like-for-like, so I'm expecting to get a Fiesta or Punto or similar.  The following morning, a big lorry turns up on my doorstep, looking like one of those transporters you see parked outside the garages at Formula One and this is rolled off the back :-

Accident 2 by Bogbrush

Not that I'm complaining of course... It's a little wider than my car, a bit longer and gets to 70mph a damn sight quicker than my Yaris. I'm only expecting to keep the BMW for a week or so, and indeed, it only takes a week and a half to get the metalwork on my car straightened out and resprayed. It takes a further two and a half weeks to get a replacement door handle.

The garage do a good job though (see before and after below) but after driving a brand new BMW, my six year old Yaris doesn't half feel light and loose. I have to give the Beemer back too :(

Everything is back to normal, the stress flows away and I relax. Just so I can get a stinking cold in time for going away to Cornwall for ten days...

Falling Shoguns

I apologise for being a bit quiet recently and for doing drive-by faving, but I've been a bit weary the last couple of weeks. I took some time off to relax but that was a dead loss after being involved in a car accident. Nobody was hurt but sorting out the aftermath has been a pain, and at least the other driver has accepted responsibility.

It was quite amusing though talking to the insurance company. Apparently there is no option on the computer system for "Mitsubishi Shogun travelling too fast on a narrow lane drives up bank to avoid on-coming traffic, hits a telegraph pole and drops down on small black Toyota."

Car is in for repair with surprisingly small amount of damage considering. I'll probably be a bit more cheerful once that's sorted.
