Coo... I don't know what to say really. Wow... Thanks for the DD!

Also many thanks to everyone who have left comments and given a fav!

I went for a walk around the local reservoirs this afternoon and hearing the ducks brought back memories from when I was very small.

Daily DeviationSee the two figures in a small boat―fishing unsuccessfully, but together. Now hear The Laughter of Ducks; are the father and son laughing with them? =Bogbrush paints us a perfect haiku moment; experience it, and fill in the details yourself―or just cherish the moment for what it is. What a peculiar last line...
Makes the piece really stick in the mind.

In vino veritas, nunc est bibendum. - In wine is truth, now we must drink.
That's a good thing I hope ;)

When you hear an aggetated duck going "WakWakWakWakWakWak..." it does sound a bit like mocking laughter. It's been a family joke ever since

Very nice, especially the last line of the stanza. ^w^ -is slowly converting from a free-verse, blank verse and fixed poet to a Haiku Poet- :3
nicely written,
its like i was at the harbor last week and the seals were laughing.

-You maybe wrong but you maybe right, it just may be a lunatic you're looking for.
-Dream as if you'll live forever.
-----Live as if you'll die tommorrow.
-Someday you'll get it right.
Thank you, and many thanks for the :+fav: too.

I think I'm sort of heading in the opposite direction from you, started with mainly haiku and now writing longer stuff...

Cheers

It can be a bit surprising sometimes, you look around and think 'Who's laughing?', and it's the wildlife!

The last line is wonderful, you've captured that particular sound/image perfectly. :]

Fading bells -
now musky blossoms
peal in dusk.

Literary babblings.
Thank you :)

It always amazes me how something like the sound of the ducks can make people remember things. I must have been five or six at the time when my dad was trying to fish.
